So much is said and written about Live in relationships nowadays that its a challenge to even comment on it without being at risk of sounding trite.
Still, let me attempt:
You want to buy a car, not sure which one or type to buy, suddenly one day you see a new model (an automobile) which you might be interested in.
You realise thats ‘the one’ you want to buy…but there are still few things in your mind:
Not sure if you can handle it well….afford the maintenance…. mileage….parking space….how many family members can it accomodate….do you want it forever…?…etc.
Thanks to the above worries, can’t seem to really get yourself committed to the car and make up your mind.
So what do you do?…you further research the car…collect feedback/opinion from past & existing customers….but even that doesn’t help…then your friends suggest…why don’t you try it once…….?
What ?…How?… you ask.
Spend some time with her…uuh…umm…get to know each other………..you know……….
………………………..Take her it for a test drive!

The Mercedez Benz that regally floats by you everytime in Banjara hills… is the reason you keep paying more for your fuel.
How,You ask?
Read on…
Well, Fuel being a commodity with limited supply and huge demand and Benzes and the Bentleys being the cars which don’t care much for fuel efficiency (Sometimes with Mileage as low as 1 Km/L) these cars guzzle gas like its nobodies business.
Thus, resulting in increase of demand for gas. Now, the demand increases but supply is limited which results in rise of fuel prices. Okay..now the demand increase was due to the Benz class (Benzs’ high fuel consumption) but the rise in price is common…ie for both Benz class and others and not just the Benzes.
The price rise may not effect the Merc guy, but it sure does the aam aadmi….
Was just wondering how unfair!
PS: Probably, there are other reasons as well. But sure can’t refute the above.

Nowasdays lots of youngsters claim to be liberals..but in reality they have little or no idea of what it means….often its only to fill in the “about me” sections in places like Orkut, Facebook etc. Having grown up in the Liberalisation era some of them are too ‘hip’ to be considered fundamentalists. Also, LIBERAL sounds way too cool and uncontroversial. So I guess its the safest and easiest option. It is sad that its on such a premise that such a significant socio-political ideology is popularised.

Of course Modi won….who else could’ve?
Especially this time when all the odds where with him (with the sting operation expose and the latent yet evident owning up to a murder just before the elections..et all.)….well ok…odds suggest his downfall…but thats why I feel he’s special!
I dont know even another politician who could have pulled off what Modi did.
One of the most difficult questions I feel to answer is- Fav politician?….now I have a decent answer.
Soon Hindus would require protection from certain ‘holy wars’ and I think Modi’s Hindutva is the answer to it!
